SUSE (R) Linux and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 , from novell both are working to solve the many heterogeneous server models from many software industries, there happens some problems on interoperability, both OS has some problem on business model to support with each other, they touches with some simple concepts to overcome the problem on facing the complexity on cross platform working. they are concentrating more on virtualization to work linux in windows while started, and vice versa.
I dont know whether this could be an open source. But Novell said it would be a low paid for updates, and other stuffs. So surely they would fix the cost for enterprise editions, thats normal. May be this will work as a shovel to pick up all the problems and dusts on complex cross platform usage.
